Bring your own bike or hire a DayTripper electric bike then grab a shuttle pass to unlock the array of spectacular cycle trails on offer.
DayTrippers are the cycle trail specialists in Tauranga and have created great options to explore the Garden and Art Festival gardens by bike. Hire cool Giant electric bikes or bring your own and grab a festival Cycle Shuttle Day Pass to hit the garden trails for a leisurely days ride.
Hiring an e-bike is perfect for the free-spirited adventurer wanting to explore the Garden and Art trail by bike. DayTrippers will offer a range of the latest Giant electric bikes for hire complete with all safety gear. The bike trail is marked on the festival trail map to show you the way and their luxury DayTripper Shuttle will provide 8 locations to hop on or off with your bike to navigate the trails.
You must of course still purchase your official Festival Pass in order to venture into the garden and art stops.

Based at Bloom in the Bay Hub at Tauranga Racecourse for the 4-day
the festival, DayTripper will be onsite to provide any assistance with bike hire, shuttle tickets and trail map navigation queries. We recommend pre-booking either bike hire or shuttle tickets to avoid disappointment on the day.
Departing Bloom in the Bay Hub at regular intervals the bike shuttle will pass through Tauranga City, Otumoetai and Bethlehem on the way to Omokoroa Esplanade before returning to the Bloom Hub.
I’ve never ridden an e-bike before but have my own pushbike. Will I cope do you think?
Hi Sheryl,
When you purchase a ticket to the Bay of Plenty Garden & Art Festival you will see the cycle trails clearly mapped and which gardens they cover. The cycle trails are suitable for all bikes, electric or otherwise. The great thing about the DayTrippers bike shuttle is that it allows you to hop on or off with any bike as much as you like – and with 8 stops throughout the garden and art trail the amount of pedaling is really up to you!
