Bay of Plenty Garden and Art Festival

Garden & Art Trail

Whether it be to grow for yourself, family, share with friends or give away to others more in need, this community garden delivers. The society’s gardens showcase productive, community- managed and operated space within council owned reserve land. Those with limited space or equipment find these gardens provide an opportunity to grow vegetables and flowers in a community garden in Otumoetai’s own backyard. For a small monthly fee, and options for a full or half-plot, members can enjoy the provision of compost and seeds provided, communal use of gardening tools, wheelbarrow, hose and more. Many an experienced gardener will share their knowledge and likely offer seedlings to newbies.
