Bloom in the Bay

Ruud Klienpaste at Garden 17

Join Ruud Kleinpaste in Graham and Penny Hill’s garden for a fascinating exploration of two very different habitats and the creatures that call them home. The garden’s swamp walk is a true wetland environment, alive with its own unique mix of birds, plants, fungi and other wildlife. Ruud will explore the importance of regenerating these natural habitats, with the possibility of spotting or hearing species such as Spotless Crake, Fernbirds and other wetland residents. From insects and sizeable spiders to skinks and other unexpected inhabitants, Ruud will reveal how even the smallest change in habitat can create the perfect home for a whole new cast of creatures.
