Kristin Hyde – Kristin Hyde Art (Stop 60)

Kristin Hyde is a full-time mixed media and resin artist whose colourful, uplifting work is inspired by flowers, sailing, and the joy of daily life. With over 14 years of experience, Kristin’s art blends acrylics, inks, pigments, gold leaf, and resin to create rich, whimsical pieces that evoke memory, emotion, and delight.

Her work is held in prestigious spaces including Huka Lodge and other luxury lodges around Aotearoa, and she is represented by several galleries in New Zealand and Sydney. Kristin regularly ranks in the Top 10 at the Auckland and Wellington Art Shows, and was the winner of the Windsor & Newton Award at the 2023 Wellington Art Show. She has exhibited across Queenstown, Christchurch, and participated in the last two Bay of Plenty Garden & Art Festivals.

Visitors can also expect a small selection of handcrafted jewellery, drawing on Kristin’s past as a metalsmith and silver jeweller.
