Paula Knight – Paula Knight Artist (Stop 69)

Paula Knight is a painter with a deep appreciation for Aotearoa’s natural world. Originally trained in botanical painting, she now focuses on vibrant, larger-than-life acrylic works that celebrate the coastal spaces where land meets sea. Her recent paintings spotlight native flowers, birds, butterflies, and plants. Each piece a joyful tribute to the uniqueness of New Zealand’s flora and fauna.

Paula’s art reflects her surroundings: a home and studio perched on the dunes at Papamoa Beach, lovingly created over 30 years. Her garden, filled with native and tropical plants, mirrors the colour and beauty of her work, while her studio space transforms to suit, hosting classes, exhibitions, and the quiet joy of painting by the sea.
