Doreen McNeill is an abstract painter whose intuitive process brings emotion, spontaneity, and reflection to the canvas. Working primarily in acrylic, and at times incorporating collage, Doreen begins with expressive marks inspired by her feelings, hopes, and concerns for the world around her.
Each brushstroke leads to the next, each colour calls for its complement, and spaces are carved to give the work room to breathe. Over time, a painting evolves through cycles of change and reflection until it arrives at a place of balance and satisfaction.
Doreen’s studio is a welcoming, light-filled space attached to her living room, where visitors will be invited through the lounge to view her vibrant body of work.
