Gill Brodie is a fine art photographer and digital artist whose work seamlessly blends the traditional and the experimental. Her style ranges from classical to quirky, often transforming original photographs into richly layered digital artworks through a process she describes as a journey, frequently looping through creative “rabbit holes” until the vision in her mind’s eye emerges on screen and in print.
Gill uses a wide array of tools and techniques, from Photoshop, Corel Painter, and AI-based manipulation to traditional hand embellishments such as gold and silver leaf, burnishing, and varnishing. The result is art that is both deeply personal and technically masterful.
Alongside her own creative practice, Gill runs L’Imprimerie Fine Art Printing, an award-winning fine art print studio. Her studio and gallery open onto a peaceful patio area that overlooks the surrounding reserve, offering a relaxed and scenic setting for visitors.
A separate print room houses her large-format printer and welcomes regular clients. This unique fusion of artist and artisan makes Gill’s space one where process and product live side by side, visitors can enjoy finished works while gaining insight into the creative journey behind them.
