Jenny Tollemache is a joyful abstract artist whose work is driven by colour, texture, and playful experimentation. Painting intuitively in acrylics and mixed media, she creates vibrant, expressive pieces across a variety of surfaces, from traditional canvas and wooden board to recycled cardboard and uniquely shaped formats. Her creative energy extends into three-dimensional work as well, including charming papier-mâché vessels made from reused materials. Each one a nod to her childhood artroom memories.
A passionate maker of handmade sketchbooks and journals, Jenny also specialises in traditional bookbinding. Each journal is crafted entirely by hand, from folding and stitching the paper to painting the covers, bringing a personal and tactile quality to her work that resonates deeply with fellow creatives.
Her studio is a beautifully crafted weatherboard cottage tucked within a flourishing garden and designed to match her 100-year-old villa. With sash and leadlight windows, it’s a charming, light-filled space that reflects Jenny’s creative spirit and love for reimagined materials.
