Katja Pott is a multidisciplinary artist, bookseller, and storyteller. Her work spans painting, sculpture, garment design, poetry, and photography. Each piece offering a window into the many worlds she inhabits. With a background shaped by life in three different countries, Katja’s art explores the emotional and cultural layers that form our internal landscapes. Her paintings, created with pastels, oils, and mixed media, are intimate reflections on love, memory, and identity. Her found-object assemblages and sculptures speak to both personal narrative and broader human experience.
Katja’s studio and second-hand bookshop are housed within the Satellite Studios at Tauranga’s Historic Village. Nestled across from the Incubator Creative Hub, this charming shared space is rich in creativity and character. Visitors will find shelves of thoughtfully curated books, Katja’s expressive artworks, and a small collection of handmade garments. During Open Studios, she will focus on art, design, and craft books, and will display her assemblage sculptures outside the studio to invite curiosity and conversation.
